Here's a short notice on an unusual perspective in the combined categories of cutaway diagrams and looking-straight-down: the (almost)-looking-straight-down bird's-eye cutaway view! I rarely see these two categories combined...and as a matter of fact I cannot recall the last time I posted something like this. So here it is, direct from the March 1941 issue of Popular Mechanics, showing a very oblique view from above looking through the fore section of a British Wellington bomber:
There is an inset diagram of the sighting instrument, which I was a little surprised to see in a popular magazine published during the war.
