JF Ptak Science Books Quick Post/Reference Post
I was having an interesting conversation with my friend, Andy Moursund, who asked if we are better off now or 50/60 years ago. That was the basic premise from which MANY qualifications were made, including who "we" are, where that "we" is, what they do, and so on, and then followed by defining "better" in a number of different ways, and then creating relative measures and measurements, and etc. It is a very complicated question--Andy says it is his favorite question for a long car ride with someone, and I like it. Anyway, in checking out one point I needed to consult numbers for human life expectancy, and since it took a little poking around, I thought I'd collect a useful selection of them and share it here.
