Here are some of my favorite (classic) books for children that I've culled from the lovely read.com pages at the Library of Congress. The baseball alphabet book is fantastic (and from 1884 I believe). The Peter Newell Rocket book is another marvelous thing (along with his Slant book, both of which sorta/kinda remind me of PEter Reynolds.)
