Permit me to recommend a particularly stunning website about Nagasaki. Upon the 50th anniversary of the atomic bombing, the San Francisco Exploratorium produced an exhibit, "Remembering Nagasaki."

The centerpiece of the exhibit is the digital restoration of photographs by Yosuke Yamahata. He arrived at Nagasaki the day after the bombing and produced the only extensive documentation of the immediate aftermath of an atomic bomb attack.
