JF Ptak Science Books LLC Post 571 and a half
The ink on my last post hadn't really dried when my wife, Patti Digh, said that she had seen another a map of Chaos. And of course she was right--it was sitting happily in the beauty-bending The Atlas of Experience by Louise van Swaaig and Jean Klare. This is a most unusual work, using familiar mapping skills and general topography to create geographic landscapes for lands of ideas, concepts and emotions. They provide maps for Secrets, Knowledge, Bad Habits, Home, Boredom (my favorite!), Health, Stream of Ideas, The Isles of Forgetfulness, Passion, Mountains of Work, Growth, The Void, Adversity, Chaos, Adventure, Haute Cuisine, Pleasure, Change, Mortality, and Elsewhere (my second favorite). This just a damned lovely book.
