Samuelson, Paul Anthony (1915-2009)
Four rare papers printed by the RAND Corporation, all in very limited distribution.
1) Market Mechanisms and Maximization. 28 March 1949. 78pp. Copy no. 117 (printed on the cover and then hand-numbered on the title page).
2) Market Mechanisms and Maximization, III: Dynamics and Linear Programming. Published 29 June 1949, RM-17. Copy no. 73 (printed on the cover and then hand-numbered on the title page). 23pp.
3) The Le Chatelier Principle in Linear Programming. 4 August 1949. RM-210. Copy no. 70. (printed on the cover and then hand-numbered on the title page). 18pp.
4) Abstract of theorem Concerning Substitutability in Leontief Systems. 9 February 1949. Copy no. 32 (printed on the cover and then hand-numbered on the title page). . 4pp.
All were published in Santa Monica by the RAND Corporation in 1949. They appear to be offset printed, though elsewhere on the web the process is described as an early chemical photocopy process of the original typescript. All are identically bound with three brass brads in their original stiffish paper outer wrappers.

The color in the image below scanned unevenly due to me not being able to press the publication flat against the scanner. In the original there is no shadowing or discoloration.
Again, the shadowing in the lower left of the pamphlets do not appear in the original--the publications are a little bulky on the boinding side because of the brass brads and did not scan properly.
